  • 1.  unixODBC and Cognos

    We're trying to access a database in Cognos via unixODBC and an ODBC driver.  Not having much luck so far.  Has anyone had any success with this?  Does the ODBC driver and the unixODBC connection need to be 32 bit even though this is a 64 bit AIX system?  We've been attempting to use the 64 bit versions of the software.  Any suggestions or tips would be greatly appreciated.  We've been doing numerous searches at the IBM site for documentation, but still have not been able to get this working properly.  We got as far as being able to connect to the database using isql.  However, in Cognos we're getting an error that it's unable to load the driver manager library libodbc.a(odbc.so).  Thanks.
