  • 1.  Universal Report (static layout) not working

    Hi

Is anyone else having an issue when trying to test this newly released feature of PAfE? I am a TMoC client so my PAW will be the latest, I'm running Microsoft® Excel® for Microsoft 365 MSO (Version 2409 Build 16.0.18025.20160) 64-bit and PA 11.8.02300.10. I downloaded an ran PAfE 99 and ran it. AFAIK there is no new requirement to run a new PA version as the version 18 allows Universal Reports to run.

I can export a view in PAfE to a QR, Dynamic report and a Universal Report but when i try the new feature for Universal report(static layout) the cursor turns to an hourglass then appears to finish and then nothing. If I try export a UR and then a UR(static) I get the following error:

The Universal Report query range was in an invalid state and the query could not be executed against the server.

The QR, UR and Exploration of the view all work. The view I used was created in PAW so is not an old native (Architect or Perspective) view.

Any ideas or is the a bug?

    Thanks

    Hi Douard,

An idea, have you asked IBM Support to update PASS too?

UR seems to rely heavily on PASS and in the past where PASS was older I had issues.

    Hi George

Yeah, that is my current thinking but I couldn't find a pre-requisite that specified an upgrade to PASS. I'm hoping an IBMer can clarify here.

The What's New documentation doesn't specify that. Funnily enough the link goes to the 2.0.0 documentation and then tells you there is a newer version (2.1.0) which when you click on it doesn't have the section for October 22 and the Universal Reports (static layout).

Oh, the joys of trying to be an early adopter... (yes, I should know better but I am an optimist)
