Uniqueness of X-Global-Transaction-ID in DataPower?

  • 1.  Uniqueness of X-Global-Transaction-ID in DataPower?

    Posted Mon January 25, 2021 09:57 PM

I would like to understand about the X-Global-Transaction-ID (GTID), to confirm whether it is unique across all DataPower servers within an environment. I am trying to leverage the GTID by passing it to the downstream applications through HTTP header to establish a common identifier across systems in order to stitch the transactions. Hence I want to get some insight into GTID, what it represents, is it unique across DP servers?

I tried to decode the GTID, but didn't any clue on what it represents. Looking for some inputs in this forum.

It's not unique across all DataPower servers within an environment Its unique between chained services (MPGW, XMLFW, WSP).
