Hi,

We have a Zowe 2.4.0 deployment and in order to handle DB2 and IMS databases with it, we tried to deploy and add the Unified Management Server 1.2.0 to Zowe's started task.

However, whenever the UMS starts, we get this error message :

Has someone in the community faced the same issue and can provide feedback ?

Guillaume - while you are welcome to post most anything to this community, I am not sure this site is the best place for debugging a problem. If you are using UMS 1.2 for Db2 Admin Foundation or IMS Admin Foundation it would probably be best to open up a defect case for whichever product you are using. It is a bit confusing but there is 3 levels of pre-req involved Db2 (or IMS) Admin Foundation uses UMS and UMS uses Zowe.

Hi Guillaume,

From your log it looks as though the fatal error is that the Java heap size is too large.  JCMJ9GC028E.  It's being set to 16G and with the line `-Xmx16384m`.

Is there a way you can reduce this ?   I'm not that familiar with UMS configuration for where this argument gets defined.    I'd try to either remove this argument and let the JRE default.
