I am trying to login to datapower using cli and getting the error whenever I give username:
unauthorized access prohibited
If I hit Enter and proceed, everything work. 
But, when I am writing a shell script for this, because of the error in the first line, its failing .

could someone help me understand why is this happening like and a workaround.

XML (or REST) Management interface might be a bit easier and long lasting solution, but if you still prefer to use cli there is an old discussion in stackoverflow that might resolve your issue.
