May be the error raised is due to broker. see to it that the configured broker is started.
I guess not as the Broker is configured and I am able to get the workflow as it is running, which would have not been the case if the Broker is down.
I am trying to update the Broker Document Types just in case to see if that is the area where I went wrong.
