When I try to ‘resubmit’ failed services on WmMonitor to the ‘Local Server’, I get an error ‘Alias not found’. I have not setup an alias for the server since I m trying to resubmit to the same IS and Monitor is on.
Please help.

Did you check the enable resubmission option of the Model Steps?
