  • 1.  Unable to move STAP from one collector to other.

    Hi,

I am facing a issue regarding STAP. I tried moving a STAP from one collector to another but its not happening.
Changed the parameters many times but its still pointing the same collector. Please help me with a solution.

    Thanks,
    Avinash Minj

    Hi Avinash,

If Enterprise Load Balancing is enabled, Kindly disable while moving to another collector and try it.

    Thanks,

    From set up by client:
Change parameter sqlguard IP for specific collector and stap_enabled for 2 (it restart it).
From STAP Control on source collector:
In config in STAP you should first add second collector. STAP for a while will be on both but than you will have active button X to removed it from previous col.

    Avinash,
Just a quick note that on older versions of Windows DB clients, you cannot add a second collector. It just doesn't work. You can change the sqlquard_ip from the CM to its temporary location but that is it.
    Hope this helps.
