    what I would try is:

    1) unmirrorvg rootvg 00f8fa033743b9d4
    2) reducevg rootvg 00f8fa033743b9d4
    3) lsvg -l rootvg (should all synced be - the copy on hdisk2)
    4) bosboot -ad hdisk2
    5) bootlist -m normal hdisk2
    6) extendvg rootvg hdisk0
    7) mirrorvg -m rootvg hdisk2

First of all its clear that your system, for the rootvg has already 2 disks, but one of them, that we don't know the name, only ID, was removed for many other reasons that don't need to be discussed now.

There's no need to change the bootlist once the hdisk2 has already hd5 partition that does the boot stuff, and, if your server booted fine of course was because this one.

What you can do to ensure that the hdisk2 is the current boot disk, type:

    bootlist -m normal -o

So, once you're fine with the hdisk2 remove the dirty disk from the rootvg:

    migratepv 00f8fa033743b9d4
    reducevg rootvg
    00f8fa033743b9d4

Done this, it's interesting to you to remove this device from O.S using rmdev -dl <disk> -R and running cfgmgr to see what new disks was founded.

It's probably that if the maps are fine, doing this (cfgmgr), the correct device name will be recognize on your system and you will able to extend your vg now (if you have a new disk named by hdiskX).

Once you have the new disk recognized, ensure that is the one you want checking the ID/Map and the size with:

    bootinfo -s <hdisk>
    lscfg -vpl <hdisk>

    Confirmed, just type:

    extendvg rootvg <hdisk>
    mirrorvg rootvg <hdisk>

If after removing the dirty disk and running cfgmgr command no new disks are founded, you have problems with disk mapping and you will need to check it out to solve your problem.

Hope it helps, let me know if you have any doubt.

    Regards,
    João Bosco Cortez Filho
