Looking for your support I am not able to define the path here is the snapshot for your reference.

let me explain the history due to some power issue in our data center after switching on the power our all server got down after that it was not recognizing the library checked with IBM hardware team they check and saying no issue on it. after that we have reached into conclusion we have to reconfigure the path that's why we have deleted the path of drive and library from tsm while recreating it I am getting this error. I am guessing while doing all these thing the device id got changed I am not able to locate the device id. I am using TSM on windows server 2008 R2. I tried to launch the exe from this path C:\Program Files\Tivoli\TSM\console\tsmdlst somewhere i read we can get the id from launching this in my case it is also not launching. Pls help me really in a big trouble.

What du you mean not launching? Can you locate the tsmdlst.exe? In newer versions it is placed under C:\Program Files\Tivoli\TSM\server. Also check in device manager that the tape drives and library is listed.

Espen,

Now I am able to manage and lauch and recreated the drive and library path but after hitting q libvol it's not giving any ouput additionally i am trying to launch the manual backup after checkin command although process is running from last 3 hours but it is not recognizing the scratch tape additionally it's not mounting the tape. can you please guide what else i can do it.

Start with:
audit libr 3573lib checkl=barcode

Check in scratch tapes first:
checkin libv 3573lib search=yes checkl=bar status=scratch

Then tapes with data:
checkin libv 3573lib search=yes checkl=bar status=private
