    Hello,

    We have tried to connect to the z/os dataset with the attached connection string and got the below error message – I tried using the UserID and Password fsent to us as part of partner program (and the error message doesn't seem username and password related)

    [jcc][t4][2043][12249][4.31.10] Exception {0}: Error opening socket to server {1} on port {2} with message: {3}. ERRORCODE=-4296, SQLSTATE=08001

    Tried the default port 5000 too and that didn't seem to yield results.

    Is this something your team can help us with ?

    What port are you trying to connect to? I believe it should be 5040 if you are connecting to the Dallas ISV Center, and the location name will be DALLASC or DALLASD

    if that doesn't work, post your connect string
