I specified the userid and password and I am able to see the entries for Tables SPs and Queries in the navigator. have you set this up and tested the connection?

once it's defined there and given a name, you can reference the ODBC name in the DB interface designer.

Just to cover all bases, you will also have to have the db2 client installed so you can configure the access to db2 and verify that you can access the db from outside wtx. Once that is done you can within the db int designer set the type of db adapter (i.e. DB2) and configure the data source, username and password for db access. You should then be able to dbl click on "Tables" folder in the DB Int Designer (DID) and see the tables you have access to.

If you still do not get access/list of tables you can enable trace inside the DID to see what the adapter is having problems with. If you get a list of tables you can then generate the type tree from a table listed.

This setting is found in the Database Interface Designer when you right click on a database and select Edit.  It's "Access user tables/procedures only" option:  You can set this to Yes or No.  A screen shot of this can be seen in Aprithvi's post from July 14th.  In that particular screen shot, it's set to Yes.
