    Hi all,


    it is an interview question which i am posting.


    Q. unbale to access the application from browser how to find out whether the problem occured from webserver (or) from the appserver  without looking into the log files,& without logging to the webserver & appserver.


    is there any way to find out.

    Hi,

              This answer would depends on various situations. Is the user accessing the correct URL? Is the context root is correct? and there are many scenarios to find out

    Hi Saravana,

    i am not Pretty much sure but i think as follows:

    we can Answer  him regarding the error code displayed. i think  400 series mostly related to webserver issues and 500 series mostly  related to App server issues.

    and we can  aslo figure out with the help of the 'exception' it throws out in the window of console if it is related to App server.
