Typing A Search Filter too Slow

  • 1.  Typing A Search Filter too Slow

    I am wondering if anyone else on R12 has a sporadic problem of when they go into the search/filter box of a table or report and start to type a filter word, if you are not quick enough to type the whole word it will lose focus and your cursor is no longer in the box anymore.    It happens on multiple web browsers.   Let me know if anyone else experiences this minor annoyance.

    Happens to me a lot in R11 - I just have to wait a second before typing in my filter - it is a bit bothersome, tho.

    It happens to me too (in R12), so when possible I use copy-paste. :-)

    It happens to me in R11 as well..Sometimes have to try refreshing the page and trying it again.

    I've noticed this as well. More of a nuisance than a problem but it can be frustrating if you're trying to search quickly for something.

    This has been happening for a long time, years. My unscientific perception is that the problem is getting worst. We're on 11.8.

    This has been a problem since R8, but as Christina says above; it's more of a nuisance than an actual problem.

    Yes we have the same issue , taken to just looking for what we need - so much quicker

    Same issue over here!  Would be a good thing to put in with the Apptio Engineering team to see if they can look into the bug that is causing it to happen!  Apptio Support

    Always been an issue here too - especially when using the && or || search functions.. I now write my search string in notepad and then copy across.

    Hi Craig,

     

    We have an open Ticket regarding the slow capture of the key stroke. That had caused multiple errors in formulas and a much slower configuration execution.

    Hello to all of you,

     

    In the case of my organization, we encountered the same slowness difficulties, but for ITP v.2.

    This was particularly slow with IE, and is much more acceptable (even if still a little bit slow) with Chrome.

     

    We should start working on CT soon, so I will stay aware to such issues.

    Happens all the time in R11, hope this problem is solved in R12.

    I use notepad and copy/paste.

     

    Problems appear in both Firefox and Chrome.
