My question is if there is restriction on the size of the typetree. We are now working on a typetree which is about 6000 kbs and needs some additions. The application closes and does not save the changes when i try to add any new fields. Any suggestion or help would be appreciated.

I have seen bigger trees than that so I do not think the size is the problem. You might consider moving to 8.1.0.1 if you have not already. If it still happens in 8.1.0.1, contact support as there may be a problem with the product. Explain exactly what steps you are taking to get Type Designer to close so that they can re-create.
