    When i mount a single lun from ds storage to the AIX machine, in the aix machine shows two hdisk. Both the hdisk have same LUN ID and size are also same. But i am only able to create vg on one of the hdisk, the other disk cannot be used.

    but some time the disk shows 0 capacity . i have previosly intalled mpio disk driver in the aix box.

    Configuration in SAN SWITHCH has not been altered. previosly it was normal but for last few months such issues has surfaced.

    So please help in on this.and keenly waiting for your responce.

    what does lspv show

    are the disk both in available state

    what does bootinfo -s <pv> show?

    can you read from the disk

    lquerypv -h /dev/<PVname> 0 8 ; echo $?

    lsdev -CF "name parent" | grep <PVname>

    lspath -l <PVname>
