Trying to use TRA PMI/TPV on 6.0.2.29

    --------------------------------

Looking for ideas on gathering stats -->WAS -> RAA to db response time.
The path is as follows: HTTPS -> IIS -> WAS6.0.2.29 -> Oracle10 db.

We are currently going through a transition period in which we are acquiring another company’s business which is using WAS60229. The business has a web application that is running in WebSphere on a physical server. The web application uses an Oracle database that is hosted/maintained by a third party vendor. This business (and our business) both have a T1 line to the 3rd party vendor hosting the Oracle DB. When running on our development servers, the applications appeared to be running about 3X slower than what is seen at the acquired company’s environment. We are using the same app and get different results (pro is better than dev) on similarly configured OS/hardware/ WAS version. In short I need to stand up a dev server to match a production server but I see 3x slower response time
and trying to understand why . I set gc reviewed tracelogs, systemout logs. Opened a tkt with IBM support, but we are trying to find a 'needle in a haystack' I’m hitting the wall with TRA not giving me the results I need. Any ideas would be appreciated .

sounds like you are in the right track. I would list all the differences between Prod and Dev. I would first try to analyze what's taking longer time in Dev. I would assume you must have already checked the differences between dev and prod databases. does they both reside on the 3rd party vendor, same os etc.

I would also suggest to check the WAS server configurations.
