I'm trying to run a large syntax for running 15 other syntax at ones. If I all the different syntaxen there are no problems but when I try it to run in the 'master 'syntax this error comes up at a couple of them. And then de datafiles aren't saved and have to run then separately.

error1: SAVE A truncation error occurred while writing to the command journal file. Please check the contents of this file before using it as input to SPSS Statistics.

error2: SAVE Undefined variable name. Check spelling, verify the existence of this variable. Has it been dropped or renamed in this command?

I already turned off the box 'Record syntax in Journal' but din't solve the problem. Anybody have a solution for me?

I have seen this problem myself even with the journal file turned off. In my case it seemed to be caused by having a very large syntax being submitted via the Python spss.Submit api. Can you provide more details on what you were doing?
