Hoping you smart folks can help me!  Have you ever had something appear in all the prior steps, but then completely disappear in the Table step?  And there's no Filter step either.  ??  No idea what's going on here. πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈπŸ€·β€β™€οΈ Just wondering if anyone's ever had that happen or if I'm just losing my mind over here...  Thank you! 😊

Ha, never mind.  Note to self: when seeing this weirdness, check the Calculation Queue to see if someone is overwriting a change.  Derp. #facepalm

I had something like this happen before πŸ˜†

  • 4.  RE: Total Weirdness

I'm always coming across weirdness. When things like that happen I shift the steps around and then put them back...or change the freshness rule of a table and change it back. Stuck Cache are my worst night. Out of curiosity, why is someone changing a table you're working on? Seems someone is in your workspace? Asking a Friend here :)

The the times something vaguely similar happened, took place with cyclic references, i.e. this table callling another one, that in turn calls this one. Mostly associated to Lookup*()s.
I wrote about this in my hackathon entry for the TBMC20, that, BTW, I can no longer find πŸ‘€

Bummer!  Maybe @Libby Christensen knows how to get the hackathon entries back so they can be posted on the new Community site. πŸ±β€πŸ’»

In the same vein, I can't find previous instances of the Bill, the TBM Guy series, only the ones I posted here.
    P.S.
Naturally, I have the materials for both the hackathon and the stories. I don't want to harass the wonderful ladies managing the community, so I might re-post them all myself, unless you tell me it's some kind of drag & drop from jiveon to this site (which I doubt).

No idea - I was thinking everything was copied over from Jive already. ?? πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

Yes, I have read that a few times already, @Jenny Franklin.
If they have copied every blog post, then it's a problem with searching.
I have tried "guy", "#bill" and others, and I can only see the posts I have created in this new site.
Can't try "TBM Guy", because it matches on TBM and I get hundreds of (irrelevant) matches.
Maybe there's an advanced search I haven't stumbled upon yet.
Another option is that I am not searching in the "right place".
@Rhonda Keller, I hate harassing you, but maybe you can verify or have someone teach me, please?

Try this URL - then I filtered on your name and blog posts - seeing 7 w/your name, but I know there's more than that! 😊

Sweet Biscuits y'all!  ;-)  The only reason you haven't heard from @Rhonda Keller yet is becasue she is on PTO this week.  She has been surfacing some of the content by special tagging in the backend.  If @Lauren Pagan isn't able to explain or surface them, Rhonda should be able to solve for that when she returns.

Since I hate creating work for others, I have re-posted my hackathon entry here (link). I call it "A Midsummer TBMA's Dream"

Thanks @Jenny Goodwin.  @Jenny Franklin & @Guillermo Cuadrado I will look into this and will get back to you by the end of the week.

@Guillermo Cuadrado if you go to your profile > My Contributions > List of Contributions - this will list the items that you have created.  Are the blogs that you expect to see located there?

Thank you, @Lauren Pagan. The oldest entry I find is dated  05Jan2021, so everything I wrote previously is not there.
As I wrote above, I don't want to create unnecessary work for you. Unless there is a simple way to verify the blog migration process you followed, I would suggest that you let it be.
I have the content of the stories, so what I would be missing are the cartoons that @Rhonda Keller had an artist of yours make for the first three or four episodes. It is still not a big deal.
Many thanks for your efforts in any case.

I have the same issue with Practical TBM posts which I made in the last few months of 2020. I have them all saved locally and can recreate them here if needed, but would prefer an automated process.

Thanks to all who are working to get the new communities going !

@Jon Sober were they created towards the beginning of December?  If so they might have landed just after our last extraction from the last platform.  I am happy to take a look for them.  Were they titled 'Practical TBM' ?

  • 20.  RE: Total Weirdness

    Posted 02/04/21 07:16 PM
@Lauren Pagan They all had #PTBM and "#Practical TBM" tags. There were a couple in October, 12 in November and 3 in December. I don't mind if the picture of my cat reading the book is missing (30th November) but the rest might still be interesting.

Thank you @Jon Sober this is helpful!  I will add this to my list to investigate.  The old Community housed two different spaces, the TBM Council Community and the Apptio Community.  I know this is a long shot but do you remember what space you posted these blogs to?  Now that we have two separate sites I am wondering if those blogs might have ended up on the Council's site.

  • 22.  RE: Total Weirdness

    Posted 02/08/21 07:09 AM
Hi @Lauren Pagan - I don't think my blogs were copied across to either site, and the user blogging capability on the TBM Council site has now been switched off ... or at least I can't see the blogs any more which I posted there in December.

Hi again @Lauren Pagan - Thank you (if it was you) or whoever has taken a look and fixed this 😊

I now see all my historic blogs in the Community Central Blogs over on the TBM Council Community site

    Posted 02/09/21 03:24 PM
@Jon Sober I was just coming to let you know that I am continuing to investigate and hope to have an answer soon.  But that explains why your blogs are not showing on the Apptio Community, they must have originally been posted to the TBM Council Community and then migrated to TBM Council Online.  Thank you for the update! :)

@Guillermo Cuadrado thank you, that information is helpful!  I found the one below from December but couldn't find others which I know are out there.  I will do some more searching and see what I can find.  We definitely want to find Bill! :)  He can't be all the way lost.

I saw it was checked out and asked my co-worker to check it back in so I could make some updates.  Saw some fallout related to the table and started to investigate.  Just investigated too soon ;-)

@Jenny Franklin, you are not alone. Our web node crashed suddenly yesterday and it kept displaying a message that we need to wait for DEV to finish calculating and for other user who was on the crashed node just cannot create any new report. It's only when we called Apptio Support to realize  that was the case. So strange thing DO happens! πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘Œ
