I used TOPICSTR as Sub# so that all messages are subscribed by one queue, however Sub# is getting treated as ordinary characters. Any idea why?

    Hi there,

Could you supply a little more information so we can help you out.

You can make a subscription using the MQSUB() programming verb, or by issuing an administrative command. Which did you use? Can you give an example of the command/code you used?

When you say "Sub#" what do you mean? Do you mean the name of the subscription? I read "Sub#" as "subscription number" and there isn't a "subscription number" field, but that may be a UK 'lost in translation' thing!

In your example that you're going to show us, could you indicate which characters are the problem characters that are getting treated as ordinary characters or is it all of them? Hopefully it will be clear what you mean with the example.

    Cheers,

    Morag
