Top Down or Bottom Up or Middle Out?

    Hi TP Community

With hundreds of organisations of all shapes and sizes using TargetProcess to align and organise it would be great to hear of the different approaches you've taken for getting started and running.

Lots of places go Bottom Up - starting with teams, use cases (/stories), and tracking maybe up to a project or workstream level.

Others go Top Down - organisation level ultimate, strategic and tactical objectives with OKRs and a focus on budget and spend at the program or portfolio level.

Middle Out - well, it's a Silicon Valley theory ... but there is no reason it wouldn't work.

What approach to implementation did you take?

Do you use the full spectrum of the hierarchy?

If not it would be very interesting to know the point at which you stopped and why?

(But understand if you don't want to explain here - you can contact us at Apptio directly, always, if need be).

    Thanks for sharing the knowledge!

    Hi Thodi,

Happy to share which approach we took at VodafoneZiggo in The Netherlands, with whom we signed a 2 year deal for in total 2.500 users.
It is all still work in progress, but we learned a lot during the 1.5 years working with towards this deal and still working with VodafoneZiggo to grow the implementation and configuration.

Setting up a call would work best, I guess.

    Best regards,

    Edwin
