  • 1.  Toggle between Approved Apps in Kiosk mode

    Posted 12/30/19 01:52 PM
I have an internal app for scheduling and also require the user to go to a web page for confirmation.  I have enrolled the devices via Enterprise and the 2 apps are on the kiosk 'page.  I am unable to toggle between the applications. When I hit the back < on the device it goes to the previous web page and eventually the user gets to the other application, but must sign in again to the web app.  I am looking for the ability to go back and forth between the 2 without signing out of the web app.

    Thanks

    Hi Clark,

Can you confirm the OS version the devices are running?  The home button functionality in COSU wasn't supported natively until Android 9.  In some older versions, depending on setup, double tapping the back button can produce the desired results.

    Matt

I am operating Android 8.1   the back button applies to the app in use

So it the browser is in use the back button applies until lit gets to the home page and then another tap get me to the COSU

If I am using my app  the back button gets me to the COSU

Is there another way to restrict websites from the user?

    Matt

I believe the problem is 'solved" I created another policy and enabled keyguard and that seemed to repair.

    Thank you again

After re-starting the device after charging, the only button visible is the back button again.  This is confusing.

Hi Clark - I want to make sure I understand the issue here fully.  Would you mind sending me an email with the screenshot of what you saw when you changed the policy vs. what was seen after the device rebooted?

I just sent over a video (which I doubt will get thru) and a photo

My guess is the device that loses the button is Android 8.1.0  and the devices with 9   work fine.

I didn't receive anything - can you just shoot me an email with your contact info and then I'll send you a Box share where you can drop the files.  Thanks!
