Guessing the problem is lack of access to the attributes cube for the metric indicator dimension. Note that this dimension might not be named Metric Indicator, that is just the default name of the dimension in the samples. You can also have multiple Metric Indicator dimensions.
I saw this issue once in the past. In the previous case I think there was a }ElementSecurity_ cube created for the }ElementAttributes cube (e.g }ElementSecurity_}ElementAttributes_Metric Indicator. I think we just removed that cube to allow access. Lack of read access to the }ElementAttributes_Metric Indicator cube or dimension in }CubeSecurity or }DimensionSecurity could also cause the same problem I think.
There is also a bit of metrics information stored in the }DimensionAttributes and }CubeAttributes cube. You might want to check those two cubes to validate everything looks correct.
