Hi Philippe,
Certificate expiry has nothing to do with obsolescence. The expiry is a security feature of the SSL encryption technology.
I've already confirmed that IBM will provide updates SSL certificates as part of the next Planning Analytics Local 2.0.9 release. The best course of action is to configure your own SSL certificates for use with any version of TM1. You really do not need to wait until IBM provides updates certificates.
The link you shared does not work for me. I am also not clear what you mean by 'no value' actions. Also, as a friendly reminder, TM1 10.2.2, Planning Analytics Local 2.0.6 and 2.0.8 are no longer supported, even through extended or sustained support. You can find confirmation of support lifecycles here: https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/lifecycle/search?q=planning%20analytics

Hello Stuart,
Almost 10 years later, I'm disappointed to see that we're falling back into the same mistakes.
Ten years ago, IBM supplied the certificates and the method for all the versions that were more or less in use;
I don't think that technical specifications evolve much, except in the event of a major version change
I have customers with TM1 10.2.2, PA 2.06, 2.08, 2.09 and 2.1.5; all have their active and financially up-to-date support.
For "very old" versions, this is not a bug, but an obsolescence that can simply be corrected by providing :
- an up-to-date certificate
- the procedure to follow
(As described in the IBM notes a lot of year ago):
swg21991546
swg21991657
swg21991656
swg21991658
Can we reasonably expect an action plan written by IBM, sufficiently in advance so that we can raise awareness among our customers and begin preparations for the necessary "no-value" actions?
Thank you very .... very much
Philippe

Hi Alexander,
We will likely provide a new 2.0.9 release before the end of this year. I cannot provide a more specific ETA at this point.
Regardless of access to Planning Analytics Local releases, the more secure option is configure your own SSL certificates.

Hi Stuart,
2 more questions then:
- Can you specify which version will be the earliest with new certificates? We need not plan upgrade in advance.
- Some our clients do not have IBM support, thus do not have access to new versions. Are they on their own this time, and self-signed certificates is the only option for them?

Hi Alexander,
We will occasionally replace the default IBM SSL certifications in new releases of TM1. I would expect an update between now and the expiry date to address this issue.
The better (more secure) option is really to use your own SSL certificates.

Hello everybody!
9 years have passed since the whole world had exciting and breathtaking quest to update SSL certificates on all servers in few months (BTW, Alan has warned us, but nobody listened: TM1 Forum)
Our "new" certificates will expire next year. Will everybody need to repeat same quest as we have done 9 years ago? @IBM can you please prepare instructions and certificates in advance?
