  • 1.  Timezone question revisited

    Posted 09/23/20 06:30 AM
    Hi,

    Just to clarify :-)

When deploying in Docker (docker-compose) the timezone set for the different components are set to the local time of the server running the docker images.
When deploying to a Kubernetes cluster, the timezone set for the different components are UTC.

Does the timezone effect the logic of ISAM/ISVA (cookie expiration, ltpa validity etc) when communicating to external resources that are running in machines with other/different timezones?

    Anders,

The timezone should not effect the logic of the various Verify Access artifacts (e.g. LTPA/Cookie/etc).  The reason for this is that any expiry time is set in 'seconds since Epoch' which is timezone agnostic.
