Timezone problem with Oracle database 9.2.0.1

    Does anyone know how to resolve below problem? After upgrade local database to 11.2.0.2, we are unable to connect to remote database of 9.2.0.1 version using the Adapters. The remote database is in different timezone.
    Error encountered
    [ART.118.5042] Adapter Runtime (Connection): Unable to enable connection resource EmpacTrinidadAdapter:EmpacTrinidadAdapter.
    [ART.118.5063] Adapter Runtime (Connection): Unable to start connection EmpacTrinidadAdapter:EmpacTrinidadAdapter: after 1 attempt(s).
    [ADA.1.204] Cannot connect to the database with DataSource class “oracle.jdbc.pool.OracleDataSource”.
    ORA-00604: error occurred at recursive SQL level 1
    ORA-01882: timezone region not found
