I know that using a TI over a Framework Manager is now end of lifed. However I was wondering if we can yet crate a TI over a Cognos Data Module? If not, is it one the roadmap?

Hi John,

... basically TI is accessing Report Packages or Reports. Both, FM and DataModules, "produce" Report Packages, so I would not expect any changes. Apart from this, if accessing Cognos Data is requirement, reports are an option as well. Espescially, if you want to give some control to certain users to modify source date (by applying filters etc.)

This is not something we are considering on the Planning Analytics roadmap.  At least not in the form of extensions to the capabilities of TI processes.  Our intent is to make TM1 Server more accessible to ETL tools.  This means new ODATA API endpoints in the TM1 Server that make it simple for ETL tools to load and extract data from cubes.   

I would love to see some sort of tool that could extract data from Cognos and load data into TM1.  I'll ask the Cognos team if they have a modern way to extract data from data sources or packages/data sets in Cognos.
