    Dear All,
    Just wanted know, how to setup through a VPN, how to connect a java/angular application which is running on a home computer at home to a informix test database which is running in the LAN environment in office.

    What are the steps involved and how to do I setup this connectivity.

    Kindly guide.

    Once the VPN has opened the firewall, connecting should be the same as if you were inside the firewall and in the office.

    OK. Thank you, Sir.

    The IP address of the system on which the informix database server is running and the port number of the informix instance was allowed in the VPN policy also.

    The only problem we've had doing this type of thing is when the network route from the VPN to the subnet containing the server is firewalled or not configured.  I've had to bark at a network guy or two for that.
