Hi IBM Community,
I am a Bioinformatics student, currently working on a project to model metabolic network reconstructions from genomic sequences. I am working on novel tools for this purpose which requires a few add-on packages and software to be able to run. One such is CarveMe (https://github.com/cdanielmachado/carveme; CarveMe) which requires the CPLEX Python API. I am trying to run these tools on an Ubuntu Docker Image for which I have the ILOG_COS_20.10_LINUX_X86_64.bin CPLEX file downloaded. Although when I try to execute installation (i.e., bash ILOG_COS_20.10_LINUX_X86_64.bin) I run into an error: "Extracting the JRE from the installer archive...
Unpacking the JRE...
Extracting the installation resources from the installer archive...
Configuring the installer for this system's environment...
No Java virtual machine could be found from your PATH
environment variable. You must install a VM prior to
running this program."
I tried to seek a solution from various sources but I haven't been able to resolve it because I could not find the package to install jre and java VM or jdk packages that were appropriate for my work. Could you please let me know whether there is a solution for this?
Thank you in anticipation and Kind Regards,
Joel
