I think it depends on what your role is and what you would be doing. I am a TBMA and will be taking the Executive Certification later this year. Part of my job was to implement the Planning and Cost Transparency modules and build/customize reports, troubleshoot, etc. The AAEP has been very helpful with the technical courses that it provides. I also have financial meetings with IT. My interpretation of the Executive Certification is that it provides the reasoning behind implementing the tool and what kinds of things you can do with the data in the tool once it is ready. There are some introductory courses into this type of information in AAEP, but this is a whole 2 day course to go over the concept. Also, I believe there is a continued education requirement to keep your Executive Certification.
