    Hi everyone,

This might seem like a very naive question, but been struggling over it and as such, would really appreciate it if someone could comment on it.

The problem is this. I’m trying to run Tamino 4.1.4.1 on my system, and perhaps, create a sample database to interface with it through Java. The documentation specifically says that I can add/modify databases through a (HTML-based?) Tamino Manager which, apparently, is accessible through a shortcut in the Program Group in the Start menu. Unfortunately, and this after at least three different install-uninstall-install cycles, I can’t find any such shortcut in the Software AG Program Group.

Is there anything I need to install in addition to the XML Starter Kit?

I’m running both Apache and IIS as webservers on ports 8080 and 80 respectively on a MS Windows XP (Professional) machine.

    Thank you for your time,
    Akshay R

    Hi Akshay,

in the Program Group “Software AG Tamino 4.1.4.1” you should find a shortcut “Tamino Manager”.
    This shortcut points to “C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe” -nohome http://localhost:9991/smh/login.htm

I.e., you can also just enter the URL http://localhost:9991/smh/login.htm
    in a browser

    Hope that helps

    Regards

    Harald

Nope, didn’t help I’m afraid. :frowning:

I’ve tried that URL earlier itself; seems to me, the web application hasn’t been installed (or something).

How do I go about doing that?

    Thanks!

    Hi

you can also start the Tamino Manager using the startmenu entry:
Start->Programs->Software AG Base Technology->System Management Hub ->System Management Hub
Or in the same folder “System Management Hub using XXX webserver”

If neither entry works, please make sure that the following services have been started on your PC:
    - Software AG CSLayer Service
    - Software AG EventLayer Service
    - Software AG MILayer Service

    Regards
    Thomas
