Tamino availability for Solaris 9 - x86

    My office is considering the purchase of Solaris 9 - x86 version to serve as the OS on an Intel-based development server. The intent is to install Tamino for Solaris 9 - Sparc platform. My assumption is this probably will not work due to some hardware specific code in each implementation of the Tamino server. Is my assumption correct?

    Hello Fred,

    Your assumption is correct.
    Tamino V4.2 has NOT been released on an Intel based Sun Solaris 9.

    It has been released on Sun Solaris 8 and 9 64-bit for Sparc and Ultra-Sparc processors.
