In 7.1 data in tables / trees use content providers. These were generated by wizard when you dropped a service on the canvas that had a results array as the output

In 7.1.1 the wizard doesn’t happen and the table seems to refer only to the web service output results only. I found you then have to right click the result set and add content provider.

Is the wizard gone?

I never worked with 7.1 so I am not 100% sure what Wizard you are refering to. In 7.1.1 there is no wizard for creating a content provider when you drag&drop a service onto the canvas. You can, of course, create a content provider in the Bindings view though. Creating a content provider there does start a Wizard that guides you through this process.
