Is there an easy way to view a table cross reference ? Something like table A references table B and is referenced by tables C and D.  Bonus points for specifying the column(s) the connection references.

I'm about to start doing this the old fashioned way but thought I'd make a last ditch effort to see if I can save myself some effort.

I've heard something about Lineage (BIIT-43911) which may provide some relief on this ?  Can  anybody comment on what it would provide and when it might be available ?

This feature is not yet available, but it is being looked into by Apptio's engineering team and may appear in a future release.

Unless someone corrects me, I don't think there's a way to get around doing it manually - you can get a jumpstart on listing your appended files to master sets by exporting the Dataset Mappings report and working backwards from there, so that may be of help. However, @Jenny Franklin does have a cool template that you can use to map your data and use as a reference guide - check it out: Documenting Your Model 

I know it's not the best answer, but I hope it helps somewhat. 

I found out recently there's a lineage feature in the Data Management section of the the Apptio API.  It produces a digraph, which you can import/paste in to digraph visualizers.  While the lineage is not quite the object dependency / metadata I'm looking for, it's useful to see the links between tables.
