The host OS for your Systems Director is not relevant.
The fact that you have one working sort of proves that.
SSL means Secure Sockets Layer and SSH is the Secure Shell that uses SSL to get you logged on to a remote machine.
The terms are often confused. A human uses SSH over SSL but Systems Director would use the SSL library directly.
I would add this question to the Systems Director Forum:
http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/forums/forum.jspa?forumID=759 There are also quite a few Redbooks and Web articles.
Have you taken a look at them?
With my AIX endpoints it can be tricky to get them reconnected to a newly installed System Director because they have exchanged security certificates with the old one and ignore Discovery requests from the new one. I am not familiar with the IBM i way of fixing this.
I hope this helps, Nigel Griffiths
