    I installed Systems Director 6.2.1 on my AIX 6.1 system today. Of my four iSeries systems I can only discover one. Is there a problem with iSeries and AIX systems director? The documentation states to use SSH on iSeries, but my iSeries admins tell me they use SSL but not SSH. Any ideas?

    SSL means Secure Sockets Layer and SSH is the Secure Shell that uses SSL to get you logged on to a remote machine.
    The terms are often confused. A human uses SSH over SSL but Systems Director would use the SSL library directly.

    There are also quite a few Redbooks and Web articles.
    Have you taken a look at them?
    With my AIX endpoints it can be tricky to get them reconnected to a newly installed System Director because they have exchanged security certificates with the old one and ignore Discovery requests from the new one. I am not familiar with the IBM i way of fixing this.
