    First a connection must have been disconnected, then a connection already executing a read was re-used to execute another read. All this does not make sense to me.

    As a first step, I would verify all the database objects called within the stored procedure have privileges for the user executing from WTX. You could be getting the "connection must have been disconnected" from privilege issue. Perhaps your stored procedure has cascading stored procedure calls and privileges or code changed for one of these. (?)
