I wanted to share this information regarding the supported upgrade path for webMethods products. Hope it would be useful for others who is not aware of this.

Note: If a product had service packs within a release, you can only upgrade the product from the latest service pack.

Can you please be provide more elaborate description for sbs = side by side upgrade and oi = overinstall.

Also, I find that the diagram is missing the upgrade for wM 7.X to 9.6 and 8.x to 9.6.

Can you share your current version? and the version you want to upgrade?

hi Dev, there is no direct path from 7.1 or 8.0/8.1 to 9.6 - that’s why I didn’t include it in the matrix. You can only get to 9.6 from 7.1 or 8.0/8.1 via 8.2, 9.0, or 9.5, as shown in the matrix.
