It's been quite a while since I have had to install the TEMS/TEP/etc on distributed platforms and I know that people are moving to displaying their data elsewhere such as Unite but there are still some who install the TEMS/TEP/etc and to my eyes the supported operating systems have not changed in years. In fact all of them are currently unavailable and also unsupported by their companies which makes this all a bit difficult. Any ideas of when this might all chanbge to use something a bit newer?

    Hello Sebastian Welton

The online documentation should point you to the Software Product Compatibility Reports page.

The ITM product team continues to update platform currency and the latest details can be searched at the following link:

    https://www.ibm.com/software/reports/compatibility/clarity/index.html

    Specific to ITM -

You're right - the supported OS matrix for TEMS/TEP and related components hasn't seen meaningful updates in quite some time, and most of the listed platforms are now either end-of-life or in extended support phases with their vendors. That's a challenge for anyone still maintaining traditional ITM infrastructure.

At this point, IBM's strategic direction is away from TEMS/TEP-based deployments and toward cloud-ready monitoring platforms such as Instana and Turbonomic, as well as integration with Unite for visualization. Because of that shift, it's unlikely we'll see new operating system certifications or major updates for the TEMS/TEP stack.

My belief is that their focus is on ensuring stability for existing customers rather than investing in forward-looking support.
