    Logical Analysis
Logical analysis addresses the integrity of the relationships that you define.
Logical analysis detects, for example, undefined components, components that are
not distinguishable from one another, item restrictions that do not match the
properties of that item, and circular type definitions. The analyzer also checks
delimiter relationships to each other and to components, undefined inherited
relationships, and logic errors contained in component rules.

    Structural Analysis
Typically, you should not encounter structural analysis errors. Structural analysis
addresses the integrity of the underlying database. Structural analysis may be
able to detect and possibly correct defects caused by system environment failures.

From the sound of it I don't think Structural Analysis has any bearing within the TT Designer (...Design Studio) itself. It may be more relevant within the DB Interface Designer, when TTs are generated from tables directly.

I see structural errors every now and then. Sometimes the type designer gets confused and deletes an object definition without deleting some of the objects attibutes (e.g. a restriction list or object description.) What normally happens is that the error is repaired on the fly by the structural analysis and a message to that effect is posted in the build results pane. I can't remember that I've ever seen anything fail because of a structural error, although I have sometimes see a type tree import go badly wrong and make the tree unrepairable.
