    Hello Team,

Hope you all are doing well.

I am implementing a Stray Node topology for a client in a new BAW environment.I need technical assistance regarding the Stray Node concept in a two-sites, four-node BAW setup, as well as the shared storage configuration. Will the following setup work properly?
Please advise if there is anything unclear or incorrect in this configuration.

    Environment Architecture:

    • Primary Site
The Primary site hosts two active nodes:Node 1Deployment Manager (DMGR)Application Server instancesNode 2Application Server instances

    • Secondary Site
The Secondary site contains two standby nodes:

Node 3Standby Deployment Manager (DMGR)Application Server instances

Node 4Application Server instancesThe Secondary site is configured to take over in the event of a failure at the Primary site.

    Shared Storage Configuration:

    DMGR Profile (Replicated Shared Volume)
    • Path: /xxx/app/profiles/dmgr
Mounted on Node 1 during normal operations. In case of Node 1 failure, the volume will be mounted on Node 3.The storage is replicated between sites to support failover.

Transaction and Compensation Logs (Replicated Shared Volume)
    • Path: /xxx/shared/logs
Used for:WebSphere Application Server transaction logs and Compensation logsThis volume is replicated between sites to maintain transactional during failover.Local Application Profiles (Non-Shared)Application server profiles are maintained locally on each node and are not part of the shared storage.

    /xxx/app/profiles/AppNode1 – Local to Node 1/xxx/app/profiles/AppNode2 – Local to Node 2/xxx/app/profiles/AppNode3 – Local to Node 3/xxx/app/profiles/AppNode4 – Local to Node 4

Each node maintains its own local application profile.
