Stop/Start a INTERVAL contol?

  • 1.  Stop/Start a INTERVAL contol?

    Posted Sun January 11, 2009 08:28 PM

    Hello:

The interval controls have a stop and start methods, but for the life of me I cant get them to work.

    http://www.ajax-softwareag.com/articles/3IE5OA/wm_cafshared-doc-7.1.1/wm_cafshared-doc-7.1.1/CAF.RefreshInterval.Model.html

Has anyone been successful in STOPPING or STARTING an interval dynamically?

I want the user to have control over the interval for the time they are using the portlet.

    thanks!

    Lucas.

It could be that it is a bug. Could you please submit SR ticket about this issue.

I think you can effectively disable refresh interval by not rendering it (e.g. if you can refresh a parent panel containing this interval control and set its rendered property = false)

I tried using a “disable-able” panel and putting the interval in it and then enabling/disabling the panel but that didn’t work.

I didn’t know you could “render” dynamically??!? How is that done?

    Thanks!!

    Lucas.

PS, in the meantime I will have client create SR.
