    I believe, Its not required to stop nodeagent to use sync command. Do you have any official IBM link for this.

    No, Its always required to stop the nodeagent
    if you want to run the syncNode command

    Thats true. I tried and got the below error message.

    ADMU0403E: The syncNode command may only be run when the node agent is stopped.
    Either stop the node agent or use the normal synchronization
    facility in the node agent.

    Hi,

    Nodeagent requests for sync operation and dmgr checks the master configuration and returns any updates made.

    The syncnode command looks to see if nodeagent is stopped, coz it is taking the job of nodeagent, to avoid any inconsistency.
