  • 1.  Sterling OMS v10 support with MQ

    Hi,

    We are currently using OMS V9 and it interacts with MQ v8.0.0.8. We are planning to migrate to OMS v10 and wanted to know if we can keep using MQ v8.0.0.8 for OMS v10 interaction or MQ also should be migrated to v9.x?

    Hi Santhosh,

    Detailed system requirements for OMS 10 are here: IBM Software Product Compatibility Reports .

    You will see that prereqs either MQ 9.1 or 9.2. Presumably at some point they will add 9.3.

    MQ 8 is out of standard support, and nearing the end of extended support. I would advise moving to at least 9.2. Ideally you would aim for 9.3, but would need to confirm with OMS whether that is actually supported or not.

    Thanks Matt for sharing the info.
    Initially we planned for a separate migration for MQ and IIB to ACE. We wanted to migrate OMS first and was under impression that we can go with the existing MQ v8 for OMS migration.

    implies in footnote 4 that OMS 9.5 is compatible with MQ 9.2. So I would suggest doing the MQ migration first then migrate OMS.
