  • 1.  STAP installation with Enterprise Load Balancer

    Hi,

    I have one CM/Aggregator (same machine) and two collectors and I am trying to install STAP with Enterprise Load Balancer. So that I can achieve load balancing as well as handling failover scenarios.

    Installing STAP with following parameters
    KTAP live update Y
    KTAP enabled 1
    KTAP allow module combos Y
    STAP KTAP fast file verdict 1
    STAP buffer file size 50
    STAP fam enabled 0
    STAP enabled 1
    STAP discovery interval 24
    STAP discovery enabled 1
    STAP_LOAD_BALANCER_IP : (CM/Aggregator machine IP)
    STAP_SQLGUARD_IP : (Collector 1 IP)

    STAP is getting installed successfully. But I am not able to see stap under Manage -> Activity Monitoring -> STAP control
    Neither on CM/Aggregator or collector.

    Can someone please help on this issue.

    Hi Ved,

    You can check stap log(Linux: STAP.log, Windows: Stap.ctl) for more detail, check if STAP gets any error and is connecting to which collector. Hope it helps.

    HI,

    Once your S-TAP installation is successful. You need to add one more parameter for load balancing:

    STAP_PARTICIPATE_IN_LOAD_BALANCING - 1.
