    I keep seeing this error when attempting to access my local jvms from another machine.

    Caused by:
    com.ibm.websphere.ce.cm.StaleConnectionException: [IBM][SQLServer JDBC Driver]The requested instance is either invalid or not running.DSRA0010E: SQL State = 08001, Error Code = 0
    at sun.reflect.NativeConstructorAccessorImpl.newInstance0(Native Method)

    I have tried removing all the cached connections and restarting the machines but still get the same error.

    Anyone has any ideas on how to proceed with this?

    were there any inactive sessions on database ?

    what are the connection pool settings on the data source (timeouts) and database ?
