  • 1.  SSO TO WEB APP USING IBM SECURITY VERIFY ACCESS (ISAM)

    Posted Tue January 05, 2021 08:00 AM

    Hi,

I need some guidance. I have a simple php based web app that uses html form (username and password) and just authenticates users against traditional microsoft active directory and if the credentials are correct then it redirects to a single page and if credentials are wrong then it just shows an error message.

I have installed ISAM and integrated it with my AD and I use IIS web server to host my webapp. Now i need to know how can I implement SSO to this simple web app using ISAM e.g i looked into Forms SSO concept but there is no clear configuration examples that i can check and compare to implement this concept. Some people don't even understand my question. I am at my training phase so alot of the information is confusing and overwhelming.

If anyone needs more details then let me know.

There is documentation from ISAM Forms SSO. Take a look at:

    https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSPREK_9.0.1/com.ibm.isam.doc/wrp_config/concept/con_forms_sso_conc.html

    As well as an example:

    https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSPREK_9.0.1/com.ibm.isam.doc/wrp_config/reference/ref_forms_sso_eg.html

Since we're talking all Microsoft/AD/IIS, desktop SSO might be an option as well:

    https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSPREK_9.0.6/com.ibm.isam.doc/wrp_config/concept/con_win_desktop_sso.html

I have seen Forms SSO documents but they are more general in their explanation and were not very helpful when I actually tried to configure. But I'll look into desktop SSO.

    Thank you for your answer..
