However, up to version 6.7 we used to get almost everything as part of a release whether we had paid for it or not. Good job I only ever used the licensed bits but it caused lots of problems with our license agreement after the IBM take over.

Unfortunately, I'm now developing in 8.0 and have my first requirement to support SSL over HTTP. I was mighty unhappy to discover that the TX Extended Edition did not provide have SSL support.

As far as I know, it does have Security support, but as an option. Main reason it is optional is that it (Security files) can't be shipped to some countries, so if it was included in the main product, that couldn't be shipped either.
