I want to understand different levels where SSL can be configured in WebSphere application server , web server and database.

1) Browser to webserver

2) webserver to application server

3) Dmgr to Nodes

4) Application server to Database.

Am i right?

  In addition to your points from Application server you can configure SSL/TLS with your backends (mail server, Queue Managers, Transaction Servers, other Application Servers,... )
