Then we swapped 4.5GB to 9GB disk and again rebuild was successfull. Still the RAID Array is showing it as 9GB hdisk, whereas it should be 18GB (9.1GB*3). Any idea why and how we make it 18GB. Thanks in advance.

So when it was originally set up you effectively had 2x4.5GB disks, hence 9GB. Unfortunately, there is no way of changing that after the fact: this array will always be 2x4.5GB, no matter what size the replacement disks are.

The only way to change it would be to delete the array and re-create it. (For availability, better to build a new array on 9GB disks then do a migratelv, or something like that. Or even just leave it, and use both array's.)
