Power

Hello , 

I've read on multiple posts a discussion concerning an IBM script rrmonitor to automate lapr monitoring/execution of SRR.

I've read also some blog from chmod666 who modified this script to monitor multiple lpars.

Any idea where to find this script or with program has replaced it.

Hi Jean-Francois,

rrMonitor was a personal project of Mr chmod666 - I think his real name is Benoit Creau but he changed jobs and I have lots track of him.

The code was on DeveloperWorks and so is lot in time when that was shutdown. The code was experimental and required user clean up.

However, the function proved very popular and it was drastically improved and is now part of PowerVC.

PowerVC (from memory) allows LPAR priorities, groups of servers, clean up and loads more. Check out the PowerVC Redbook

I  highly, recommend PowerVC - just this remote restart feature is worth the cost and implementation time then you get hundred of other PowerVC feature for "free" :-)
